Ganita, the first skandha, deals with astronomy and mathematical astrology. They are compiled into different sidhantas which were as many as eighteen in number in the ancient times. Subsequent developments in this field led to astrology being classified into six skandhas instead of the earlier three. These were Ganita, Samhita, Hora, Shakun, Muhrat and Prashna. Muhurat, the fifth skandha, deals with finding out the auspicOUS moment for doing any work based on nakshatra, tithi, vaar ete. and related to the natal as well as transit position of panets. Prashna Kundali, the sixth skandha, deals with the casting of horoscopes Tor the time of query, event or thought, and forms the subj matter of this book. No skandha can be dealt with in isolation.

The basis of Prashna
The birth chart is constructed for the precise moment of birth of a child. Similarly, the prashna kundali (Chart) is constructed for the moment when the querist approaches the astrologer for knowing his future. Differences in Marital disasters happen because of Sun or Mars

As we know Mars occupying the 2^nd, 12^th, 7^th, 4^th, and 8^th house in the horoscope of a person may cause death or trouble toward the marriage life. Results of the Sun occupying the 2^nd, 4^th, 7^th, 8^th or 12^th house in a chart, more or less, follow the same pattern as Mars occupying these Bhavas. Perhaps, the difference lies in the fact that when the Sun gives these results, the native begins to look inwards for peace and thus embarks on the journey to Ultimate Knowledge. No matter, if it may be slow or barely perceptible. But the orientation of the psyche undergoes a distinct transformation and the native begins to engage in a process of spiritual searching and inquiry. This is where the Sun’s Sattwa Guna shows up. One may still continue in all of life’s activities in which one was earlier involved; only now, the Sun has stirred a relatively unknown corner of one’s being and set into motion a process of de-attachment and disentanglement. The pace of this process may not even be felt or sensed but it has begun, marking the first step towards the upward evolution of the soul in this particular embodiment, taking off perhaps from the stage at which the process had come to the halt in an earlier state of existence.

Mars, on the other hand, when he destroys or damages marital lite, creates strong reactions of resentment, revenge and frustration so that the native engages in a pattern of thought that is ruled and dictated by these disintegrative emotions. Such a motivation may lead one to renewed efforts to regain what has been lost or even to gain something better than before, but only on a gross level. Mars does not allow one to accept the loss forcing the native again into a whirl of the pursuit of similar objectives like the moth which is attracted by the burning flame only to be reduced to ashes by it. In response to Saadhu’s request for his Krishna Kavach, Lord Vishnu assumed the role of his husband and visited Maa-Tulsi to spend time with her in order to shatter sati dharma, Maa-Tulsi was not able to recognize the lord Vishnu and her Saatv is broken and because of this, his husband Shankhchurn was killed by Shiva and Mahakaali.
