Mangala, Pingala, Dhanya, Bhramari, Bhadrika, Ulka, Siddha, and Sankata. Each Yogini rules a specific number of years, starting with Mangala, who rules for three years, and ending with Sankata, who rules for six years.

To calculate the Yogini Dasha period, the first step is to determine the Nakshatra occupied by the Moon at the time of birth. The Nakshatra is then used to calculate the first Yogini period. For example, if the Moon is in Ashwini Nakshatra, the first Yogini period will be ruled by Mangala, and the person will experience the effects of Mangala Dasha for the first three years of their life.

Each Yogini period has its own unique qualities and effects on a person’s life, based on the planetary ruler of the Yogini, the Nakshatra occupied by the Moon, and the placement of other planets in the birth chart. There is a mention of 64 Yoginis in Tantra Shastra. Of these, special importance has been given in the Tantra Shastra to the major Ashta Yoginis, who are worshiped along with the Ashta Bhairvas. Just as there is a Vimshottari Dasha Dasha of 120 years, similarly the Yogini Dasha of 36 years has evolved in recent times,

Like Vimshottari Dasha, Yogini Dasha also affects the life of a person in a big way. Ashta Yogini Dasha 1s also divided on the basis of 27 Nakshatras which provide happiness and sorrow to the native according to his deeds during his time period. These Ashta Yogini dashas are Mangala, Pingala, Dhanya, Bhramari, Bhadrika, Ulka, siddha and Sankata. Their time period is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 years respectively. The sum total ot all these is 36 years.

These are the Ashta Yogini dashas

Mangala: The first dasha of Yogini Dasha is Mangala. It is of one year. Its lord is Moon and the people who are born in Adra, Chitra, and Shravan Nakshatra have Mangala Dasha. This dasha 1s considered good. The person who is blessed by Mangala Yogini gets all kinds ot happiness and prosperity.

Pingala: Pingala is the second yogini dasha in succession. It is of two years. Its lord is Sun. Those who are born in Punarvasu, Swati, Dhanishtha Nakshatra have Pingla dasha 1s also auspicious. In Pingala Dasha, all the troubles of the person’s life get pacified. He progresses and gets happiness and wealth.

Dhanya: The third Yogini dasha is Dhanya and lasts for three years. Its lord is Jupiter. For those who are born in Pushya, Visakha, or Shatabhisha Nakshatra, life starts from Dhanya Dasha. Those who have this dasha in their lives get immense wealth and food.

Bhramari: The fourth Yogini dasha is Bhramari and lasts for four years. Its lord is Mars. Those who are born in Ashwini, Ashlesna, Anuradna, Paorvabhadrapada Nakshatra, their birth-time Yogini dasha is Bhramari. During this dasha the person becomes angry. There are many Kinds of crises. Bhadrika: The fifth Yogini dasha is Bhadrika and it lasts for five years. lts lord is Mercury. Those who are born in Bharanı, Magha, Jyestha, Uttarabhadrapada Nakshatra, their birth-time Yogini dasha is Bhadrika. Auspicious results of good deeds of the person are obtained durng this Dashakal. Enemies are quelled and the obstacles ot life are eliminated.

Ulka: The sixth Yogini dasha lasts for six years. Its lord is Shani. Those who are born in Kritika, Poorva Phalguni, Mool, Revati Nakshatra, their birth-time Yogini dasha is Ulka. The native has to work hard during this dasha period. There is a rush in life. There 1s slackness in work. There are many types or cises.

Siddha: The seventh yogini dasha is Siddha and its lord is Venus. Those who are born in Rohini, Uttaraphalguni, Poorvashadha Nakshatra, their birth-time Yogini dasha is Siddha. During this period native is blessed with wealth, material happiness, love, etc. There is no dearth of happiness in the life of those who are blessed by Siddha Yogini.

Sankata: The eighth and last dasha of the Yogini dasha chakra is Sankata and its lord is Rahu. Those who are borm in Mrigashir, Hasta, Uttarashada Nakshatra, their birth dasha is Sankata. During the períod of Sankat Yogini Dashakaal, the person gets surrounded by troubles from all sides.

There are four major temples of 64 Yoginis in India Two in Odisha and two in Madhya Pradesh. in Madhya Pradesh, there 1s a vilage panchayat in Mitawali in Thana Rithorakalan of Morena district. It is also known as ‘IkanteshwarMahadev Temple. Apart from this, another temple is located in Khajuraho.
