• Ashtakavarga Rules: House which are having more then 28 points(Bindus), are considered more Promising & Auspicious regarding there results,
• Planets which gives more then 4-Points are considered as Positive & 8-Point is Most Promising for there result associated with that house.

Comparison Between 1^st house 8^th house:

The Points (Bindus) in the 1st house should be high as the strong lagna is admired in all situations. They should also be higher than the Points in the 8th house. 1st house is life and the 8th is death, If they are too low, it may shows a problem with Longevity, inheritance,and the spouse’s wealth. With too low Points in 8th house the sudden gains, get coverts into sudden loss.

Comparison Between 1^st house 7^th house:

If the 7th house Points are higher then spouse is supposed to dominate or from higher society-(in terms of Money & Family background), Therefore, every one appreciates lower Points in the 7th. However it has been observed extensively that if the Points in the 7th are generally low, generally there is marital problem. In our opinion the general rule must always be kept in mind that the significations of only those houses get fulfilled fully that have high Points, Specially above 28 Points.

Comparison Between 5^th house 10^th house:

The 5^th House Points Should be less as compared to 10^th house, for Profession Advantage because 5^th house is 8^th from 10^th house, 8^th from any house can cause obstacle to the significations of that house.

Note: Normally it is said that points in TRIK Bhav-(6,8,12)house should be low, But it seems this logic is a myth, because if there is low points in (6,8,12) houses, it increases the bad results of trik houses. So Upachay bhav (house which grow with the time)- (3,6,10) should have Good Points.
