In Vedic astrology, Prashna Kundali is a system of casting a horoscope chart for a particular moment when a question is asked. It can be used to analyze and predict various aspects of a person’s life, including health and diseases.
How to see the Disease and Recovery of Patient from which house?
In the prashna kundali the ascendant is the Doctor, 4th house is the treatment, 7th house is the disease and 10th house is the patient. Hence the four kendras assume importance in this analysis. Ascendant not only means the Doctor but every thing connected with him, his ability, diagnosis, understanding etc. Similarly the remaining kendras, in order, are to be seen for treatment, disease, and the patient respectively. Treatment includes the medicine, the disease includes the acute or chronic stages, whether the disease is complicated, the possibility of its cure, and finally the patient includes his cooperation or willingness in taking medicines and precautions. I have observed that 10H indicates the behavior and willpower of the patient more than the patient himself. This single factor can make a lot of difference in the ultimate outcome of a disease and its cure.

Parts of the Body
Two methods are employed in the identification of the part of the body said to have the seat of the disease. The first method of dreshkon is applied to natal predictive astrology as well as prashna. Whereas the second method is applied solely to prashna. Both have immense merit and therefore both need to be understood in detail.
Based on the twelve houses
The twelve houses of the horoscope indicate different parts of the body. To ascertain which part is diseased, note :
1. The influence of malefic on any house by position, aspect or conjunction (PAC).
2. The influence of malefic on the lord of the house by PAC, as above.
3. The part of the body touched by the person while posing the query.
4. The Arudha Lagna is fixed by any of the methods explained earlier.
5. The house where the afflicted Lagna lord is posited.
6. The house where the afflicted Moon is posited.
7. The house where 6L (under the malefic influence) is posited.
These houses indicate the seat of the disease and a thorough and judicious application of mind is required, giving due importance to each of these indications. The parts of the body which may be diseased as per this method are :

Type of Sign rise in Lagna: Urdhvamukh, Tiryankmukh, Adhomukh
Urdhvamukh: Urdbvamukb is called upward looking. The sign left behind by Sun and its trines are upward looking. Let us take an example. Suppose Sun is in Aries in the prashna chart which means it has just left behind Pisces and hence Pisces and its trines Cancer and Scorpio are upward looking signs. In other words, the sign 12th from Sun and its trines are upward.
Tiyankmukh: Tiyankmukh is called sideways looking. The sign which will be occupied by Sun and its trines are sideways looking. In our example, Sun is in Aries. It will enter Taurus and hence Taurus and its trines Virgo and Capricorn are sideways-looking signs. In other words, the sign 2nd from Sun and its trines are sideways looking or tiryankmukh.
Adhomukh: Adhomukh is called downward looking. The sign occupied by Sun and its trines are downward looking. In ou example, Sun is in Aries and hence Aries and its trines Leo and Sagittarius are downward looking or Adhomuko.
