Lo Shu Grid Explained in detail

Origin of Lo Shu  Grid Numerology: The “Lo Shu Grid” or “Lo Shu Square” is a historical Chinese numerological puzzle and a 3×3 magic square. It is named after a legendary turtle (Lo Shu) that emerged from the Yellow River with a unique grid on its shell. The origins of the Lo Shu Grid are rooted in Chinese mythology and ancient Chinese culture.

According to the legend, the Emperor Yu of China noticed a magical turtle emerging from the river. The turtle had a peculiar grid on its back, which is depicted as follows:

+—+—+—+
| 4 | 9 | 2 |
+—+—+—+
| 3 | 5 | 7 |
+—+—+—+
| 8 | 1 | 6 |
+—+—+—+

Each number from 1 to 9 is present in the grid, and the sum of each row, column, and both main diagonals is 15. This unique property is what makes it a “magic square.”
